Rong May Glass Bridge — Canopies for Waiting and Service Areas

At a tourist attraction, each reception, waiting and circulation area has its own requirements. The Rong May Glass Bridge images in the LIONVINA library feature canopies over waiting areas, walkways and service spaces, suggesting ways to connect materials with the landscape.

01

View the Element Within the Whole Project

The overview photograph shows the project within its terrain and greenery. In visitor areas, canopies should be considered as part of the access route: from gathering points and waiting zones to paths connecting different elements.

Roof colour and shape affect the distant appearance as well as the experience of people beneath it. Even a small element therefore needs a clear relationship with the overall architecture.

02

Consider Outdoor Conditions of Use

Canopies in open spaces must be checked against local weather conditions, framing and maintenance requirements. Sheet appearance is one part of the proposal; fixings, edges and drainage must be defined for the specific design.

An overview image establishes context but cannot determine sheet specifications. A new proposal also requires close-up photos, dimensions, sections and documentation for the material range being considered.

03

From Service Spaces to Material Information

Applications, colour options and installation guidance help customers prepare questions before discussing a proposal. Each waiting area or walkway may need different light levels and roof arrangements; selection should start with the location of use.

Include visitor-route diagrams, site photos and proposed shelter coverage in your enquiry. If a structure already exists, add framing information to assess sheets and finishing together.
