A WELL-PREPARED SUBFLOOR. A NEATLY FINISHED FLOOR.
01
CHECK THE SUBFLOOR
The subfloor must be clean, dry, sound and flat. Treat uneven areas, cracks and moisture sources before installation.
02
PLAN THE LAYOUT & SELECT SAMPLES
Check codes, colour batches, grain direction and transitions. Allow for waste according to room shape and laying pattern.
03
INSTALL ACCORDING TO THE FLOORING RANGE
Click-lock: connect the correct locking system and provide expansion gaps as instructed. Glue-down: use a suitable adhesive and follow the specified timing and bonding pressure.
04
SURFACE CARE
Vacuum and wipe with a damp cloth and suitable cleaner. Use furniture feet pads; avoid sharp objects and prolonged standing water.
MATERIAL ESTIMATE · 4 MM CLICK-LOCK
APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY BOXES DO YOU NEED?
Calculated at 2.5 m² per box and rounded up. Waste depends on the laying method and layout; the final quantity is confirmed after on-site measurement.
Does 4 mm Click-Lock Flooring Need to Be Glued to the Subfloor?
Click-lock joints connect planks through their edges. Follow the specific range's instructions for underlay, expansion gaps and transitions; do not glue a floating floor to the subfloor yourself.
Is the 2 mm Glue-Down Flooring Self-Adhesive?
The 2 mm sample set shown is glue-down flooring measuring 152.4 × 914.4 × 2 mm. Planks are bonded to the subfloor with a suitable installation adhesive; select the adhesive system according to material guidance and subfloor conditions.
What Does a 0.3 mm Wear Layer Mean?
This is the wear-layer specification of the 4 mm sample set, distinct from the total plank thickness. Select flooring by considering foot traffic, the subfloor and the specific product's usage guidance together.
Can It Be Installed Over Existing Tiles?
Check flatness, soundness, grout joints and moisture. Uneven tiles or surfaces unsuitable for adhesive may need treatment before installing an appropriate flooring range.
How Do I Choose an Attractive Flooring Colour?
Light wood works well with white walls and light furniture; grey wood suits neutral schemes; deep brown creates a focal point. View samples in the actual space under everyday lighting.
