Fomex in the LIONVINA catalogue is a white PVC foam board commonly used for print substrates, information boards, advertising components and models.
Its foam structure reduces weight compared with a solid PVC sheet of the same size. The flat white surface is convenient for images, text and colour. Rigidity, fixing performance and print quality also depend on the board range, thickness and fabrication method.
Select inks, graphics and adhesives compatible with PVC; test a sample before batch production.
Select a knife, saw or CNC machine according to the thickness, shape and required edge finish.

Specify finished dimensions, quantity, drilling positions and required cut-edge finish. Check the board size to plan the layout, allow for waste and choose a joining method.
Keep surfaces clean and dry; use materials compatible with PVC. Test a small board area for adhesion, colour and surface reaction before production.
Use sharp tools, support the board during cutting and check the edge quality. Large components need frames, bases or support points; additional thickness alone does not replace structural support.
Store boards on a flat support, away from sunlight and heat. Protect corners, edges and surfaces during transport; do not drag boards after printing or applying finished graphics.
Confirm the board range and conditions of use before selecting. Water resistance does not imply UV resistance, heat resistance or suitability for long-term outdoor use. Performance data and certifications must refer to documentation for the specific product.

EPS foam has a different bead structure; acrylic is a separate sheet material available in clear, opal white and colours. Choose by material and finished-product requirements rather than the generic term “foam board”.
The catalogue lists 3 mm reduced-thickness grade, 3 mm, 10 mm reduced-thickness grade and 10 mm full-thickness grade separately. Each specification has its own price; compare like-for-like grades. Actual thickness and tolerances must be checked against a sample or batch, not inferred from the name alone.
The 1,220 × 2,440 mm size is currently specified for Fomex 2 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm full-thickness grade and 15 mm. Other specifications are marked “Confirm During Consultation”. If cutting is needed, send the finished dimensions and quantity to check board size, cutting layout and waste.
PVC foam is used for direct printing and adhesive graphics. For a specific order, check the board surface, ink system, drying or curing settings, graphic film and adhesive. Test a sample for adhesion and print quality before producing large quantities.
Select a board range with data appropriate to the exposure conditions and duration. Do not assume all PVC foam boards have the same UV or heat resistance. For outdoor signs, send the installation location, dimensions, intended service period and supporting structure for advice.
Not necessarily. Density, foam structure, surface quality and tolerances, as well as thickness, can affect weight, rigidity and fabrication performance. For consistent finished products, compare samples and specifications for the exact range or batch.
Prices are per full board for each specification and exclude VAT, transport, cutting, printing and fabrication. The estimator multiplies board price by quantity only. Bulk, cut-to-size or drawing-based fabrication orders need a separate quotation to establish the full cost.
